2. Discovery Meeting

Let's chat!

A discovery meeting enables a strategic conversation where we can discuss your needs, challenges, and goals. This is crucial for both of us to understand whether there is alignment in what I can offer you to meet those goals.

During the discovery meeting, we'll talk about your ideas, you're short and long term goals, and how technology can be embedded into your life to support growth. We'll also set expectations for the projects, whether that be feature rich or low cost solutions.

At the end of the discovery meeting, you let me know if you'd like me to proceed with a proposal, often times with options for you to consider. If you do not want to proceed then or ever, no worries at all! I understand that there are many other options out there and I may not be the best fit for what you are looking for. My goal is to ensure you feel comfortable with your technology decisions, even if they aren't with me.

If you do want to proceed to the next step, I'll work on a proposal based on the information gathered during the discovery meeting.

3. Proposal & Estimate

What to expect...and how much

It's important that all parties understand the scope of the work being done and that we all feel satisfied with the agreement.

Proposals are created with intention and target the focus discussed during the step 2 Discovery meeting. This step is fairly straight forward and can at times have the need to negotiate the terms and/or pricing until everyone is satisfied. I understand that there isn't a solution that fits all needs, so I am flexible and direct when working with you on securing a project.

4. Proposal Approval & Deposit Paid

Let's Shake Hands

Once the proposal has been reviewed, you have the option to decline or accept it. While I hope you accept, I want you to feel comfortable with the agreement and if you don't, understand a decline may be necessary.

Once a proposal has been approved and contract signed, a partial payment must be made before the work is completed. Any other arrangement is up to my discretion on a case by case basis.

Currently, I offer a scale for the initial payment, ranging between 20%-50% of the project value. My goal is to lower the barrier to make tech more accessible, this is a small example of how I work that into my business.

5. Project Work Begins

With the proposal approved, contract signed, and deposit paid, I get to work. In about 1-2 weeks, the initial test resource gets deployed for you to review.

6. Revision Cycle

Review > Update > Review > Approve

I want to ensure that you are happy with the pre-launch version of the project. It's important to note, that the first version is a starting point that comes with flexibility to change and expand as needed.

MVP - Minimum Viable Product, is a target for the initial launch of any project. The MVP can be different depending on your needs and resources, but the importance here is to ensure the project is good to launch.

We go through as many review cycles as needed until I get the OK from you to launch.

7. Final Pre-Launch Approval & Final Payment

Pre-Launch Ready

To confirm pre-launch ready status, I need

  1. The final confirmation that the project in the test status is ready to be taken live.
  2. The final project payment.
  3. Date selected for Launch Day.

8. Live Launch
